This program will run with Covid-19 safety guidelines in place. Teachers and children will be wearing masks and sanitizing efforts will be increased.

Our school-age program provides before- and after-school care for children in grades K-5. We strive to help produce happy, healthy, community oriented young adults. To meet the varying needs and interests of school-age children, our program is both educational and recreational. The program and activities offered reflect the interests of the students and reinforce skills learned at school.

Although time is allocated for doing homework, school-age children may also participate in cooperative games, arts and crafts, table games, dramatics and utilize our gym to engage in athletic activities. In addition, children enjoy outdoor activities when weather permits.

Our program is held at our Hellertown site, 323 Northampton St. Grades K-4 are bussed by the school to and from the center. Staff meet 5th graders at the school at the end of the day and walk with them to the center.

The program is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and recently received the highest rating (four out of four stars) from the prestigious Keystone STARS program — a continuous quality improvement program which was developed by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning to ensure that all Pennsylvania families have access to high-quality early childhood education and school age opportunities that foster children’s success in school and life.
